Where tradition embraces innovation
Palazzo Garibaldi - Luxury Suites is an historical Palazzo of the late nineteenth century, built on the remains of an ancient building of the fifteenth century already owned by the Capano family, close to Archbishop Adarzo de Santander. It became Mellone family’s property and was then completely renovated in the early twentieth century, as can be seen in its current consistency. The Palace is located in the heart of the historical city center of Galatina, overlooking Piazza San Pietro and its Cathedral and also the chapel of St. Paul, the place of origin of the phenomenon of tarantism and tarantolate. Palazzo Garibaldi is not far from the Basilica of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria, a unique Romanesque Gothic jewel in southern Italy.
